KDAO-TV, Marshalltown's only local television station, broadcasts on UHF Channel 45. The station is also carried on MediaCom Cable Channel 12 in Marshalltown, LeGrand, Green Mountain, Timber Creek, and Wolf Lake. Plus, the station can be viewed on Heart of Iowa Communications Digital Video Channel 6 in Union, Whitten, New Providence, Eldora, Steamboat Rock, Conrad, Beaman, Albion, Green Mountain, Haverhill, Ferguson and Laurel. In addition, KDAO-TV serves Marshalltown and the surrounding communities in an approximate 15-20 mile radius. Our signal is available, over-the-air, free of charge, unscrambled, to everyone in the coverage area with a UHF television antenna.
